First Step: Since cork 7's are hard tricks on the trampoline, be sure that you can already perform a back flip and a straight 720 first. These tricks are a basis of a cork 720 and it could be dangerous trying the cork 720 without these tricks. After you've completed both these tricks, you can continue onto the following step.
Step 2: Get your body warmed up by performing a a couple backflips and regular 7's, then execute a 180 degree rotation back drop. To do the 180 back drop, get a small jump and on your takeoff tilt your head down and to the left, falling onto your back with yourself facing the same direction that you began with. Just, think of it as the combination of both a back drop and a 180 degree rotation.
Step 3: Now you are ready to do the cork 720. Try not to be be fearful, because cork 720's are in reality quite simple once you get good at them. Start with a average to big bounce, on your takeoff you'll need to stand up as tall as you can, lookine back behind your body and down at your heels. Be sure to get enough spinning rotation by really twisting your chest and arms to the left, along with throwing your right arm back and to your left. Your takeoff is the key part in a cork 7, so be sure to that you stand up tall and employ your core strength to create your rotation.
Step 4: Once you are airborne, you will need to tuck your body into a ball and pull your hands into your chest. Continue looking down, back and to the left and your cork 7 will come around nicely. During this step, get as much spin as you possibly can!
Step 5: The landing will come pretty easy in a cork 720, so keep in your tuck until you can see the trampoline bed and feel that you have gotten all the way around. Finally, pick up your head and let your feet come out and land cleanly. It may seem scary and hard when you're first learning, but you'll soon see that cork 7's are really easy and awesome! I appreciate you taking the time to read this trampoline article and I trust it has helped you and made you a better bouncer. I hope you do well with your tricks and good luck!
